ABOUT JOSEPH TISIGA
Born in Edmonton, AB and raised in Whitehorse, YT, Joseph Tisiga is an interdisciplinary artist of Kaska Dena ancestry, whose practice includes painting, photography, assemblage and performance. Tisiga is constantly exploring different methods of storytelling and narrative devices in his art. Ultimately, such an aesthetic offers reflections on social and philosophical questions around the complexities of identity as well as personal mythology.
